Baseball-Mets Place Beltran On DL

Although the New York Mets placed outfielder Carlos Beltran on the 15-day disabled list, he could be out for a longer period of time.

Beltran is suffering from a bone bruise in his right knee and won’t be in the lineup when the Mets play the Cards tonight.
